As a former deputy city attorney, water board counsel, plaintiff's attorney, and later as defense counsel for large companies at an AmLaw 100 law firm, Shiva has honed her skills across a wide range of legal environments. This varied experience allows her to offer innovative solutions and anticipate potential challenges in ways that many other attorneys cannot.

Shiva Razipour entered her undergraduate studies knowing that she would become a lawyer. As such, Shiva completed her undergraduate degree in Business Economics in 2.5 years at UCI and went directly to Southwestern Law School.
While majoring in business economics, Shiva focused my upper-division courses and projects on econometrics, statistics, and business forecasting. Specifically, she worked on multiple years of stock market data and built statistical models to forecast past, current, and future stock prices for major retailers, as well as calculated the risk and return levels of investing in each company.

During law school, Shiva completed three externships related to litigation and received first-hand experience in both civil and criminal litigation. Her first two externships were with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office at the Torrance Branch and the Downtown Los Angeles Hall of Justice's Organized Crime and Public Integrity Divisions. She worked on a range of criminal cases, from DUIs, domestic violence, and murder, to the high-profile People v. Uwaydah, a $150 million health insurance fraud case. Her final externship was with the California Attorney General Office's Employment & Administrative Mandate Section, where she assisted in defending California state agencies and organizations for all employment-related matters.
Moreover, Shiva diversified her skills by focusing her Southwestern coursework on litigation skills, drafting contracts in multiple practice areas (i.e., business law, real estate, entertainment law, and construction law), and alternative dispute resolution.
